Holly Holm will make her first women's bantamweight title defense against Tate -- not Rousey -- at UFC 197 on March 5 in Las Vegas, sources confirmed with MMA Fighting on Thursday night. Bleacher Report's Jeremy Botter was the first to report the news.

Holm (10-0) shocked the world and became an overnight celebrity when she knocked out Ronda Rousey with a head kick at UFC 193 in November. The UFC wanted Holm to face Rousey in an immediate rematch at UFC 200 in July, but Holm desired to fight sooner. She got her wish.
